Terrible experience. Management is absolutely awful- response times are poor, they generally disregard most complaints, and all interactions are horrible. For example- mice in our hallway and units, we were told we had to wait until the next business day (after a full weekend) for a response and to go buy our own mouse traps. Don't expect any service or support- they are money grubbers but provide terrible customer service. Go somewhere else!

This apartment complex is always dirty. The elevators have dog pee, trash, and so do the hallways. There are stains on the carpet and it smells bad on every floor. Since this building is pet-friendly expect to hear barking non-stop no matter what time of day. The units are not really soundproof as mentioned during the walk-through. You can hear everything. There is construction that starts at 7AM and goes 6 days a week. You will never find guest parking. Both Lyric and Lydian share less than 10... spots. You will also find regulars taking those spots so you can never really use it unless you move your car. Parking fees and rental fees have gone up every year including rent from 8-10% with no negotiation. They fired the lifeguard here and the pool was disgusting all summer. The grills outside did not work either. This building is poorly maintained. There are also students who sit in the lobby and work so it gives it a very dorm/college feel. Choose another building in this area if you are considering moving. Also, the good reviews are from people who didn't live here or from 4 years ago when the building first opened.

I've lived at the Lyric for about ten months. It's been great. The apartments are beautiful, new, and have charming details. Closet space is small, depending on lay out, so be careful. Building in general is quiet (we can NEVER hear our neighbors, which concerns us every once in a while. haha), with a beautiful rooftop that hosts great parties every once in a while. Can't beat the location, close to everything - Safeway, Chinatown, downtown, restaurants, bars. ONLY complaint is that if you do... "covered" (it's not) parking in the back of the building, they don't patrol it. So if someone is in your spot, you have to go to the front desk, who will sometimes tow them, sometimes not. It's frustrating when you're paying so much for a spot and the building management doesn't respect that.

I've lived at the Lyric for almost a year and a half now and I've enjoyed it very much. The location is wonderful in Mt. Vernon Triangle, which is growing like crazy right now!
The building itself has awesome amenities including a 2nd floor terrace, fitness room, and full roof deck with fire pit, pool, grills, and a club room. It's also pet friendly!
The building staff has always been very friendly and helpful as well and the few maintenance requests I've had have been handled quickly and... professionally. The new retail tenants opened this year, including an amazing bakery.
My only qualm is that I wish the pool was open later on the weekends.
