I have lived here for several years and it is conveniently located near public transportation, just 20 minutes outside of DC and 40 minutes away from Baltimore. The location is amazing.
I have seen this place change management on multiple occasions and it has consistently gotten worse each time. When you call the office about sometimes about the smallest things, they don’t call you back. Not until you follow up do they expedite your requests.
Maintenance comes with an attitude if you have an... emergency in the middle of the night. I get it, but I also did ask for the apartment above me to leak either.
The smoking of marijuana in the complex is absolutely ridiculous. People smoke it in their apartments, on their balcony and in common areas. The office never does anything about it. No, they send around notices that they post on the door of every building with no action or resolve. Calling the police has been my resolution.
Again, great location, commuter friendly, however my experience has been completely subpar.

I lived here for 2 years with a constant smell of people smoking pot in the stairwells.
I moved out in June and I am still waiting on my security deposit refund.
No one ever calls back, Don`t believe anything Will says

I lived here for over a year; if I could have afforded to stay, I would've! I only moved because my roommates were moving out & I couldn't afford it alone. I lived in the 2 bed/2 bath model. It's a great size & one of the best places I've lived. I have lots to say about why I loved this place!
General Pros:
- Good management team: helpful & welcoming! They let us inspect the actual apartment we would be renting before we signed the lease.
- Nice, partially secluded area tucked in between the... magnet high school (ERHS) & NASA's Goddard Space Center. As a woman, I felt safe walking through my parking lot & on the adjacent street alone at night.
- Lots of good shopping & food choices nearby!
- Right down the road from 295 & 95 for easy travel/commute!
- One reserved parking space near your building & lots of free parking (might require extra walking, depending on which building you're in, but it makes it very easy to have guests over/multiple cars between yourselves).
- Family friendly complex! When we first visited to check it out, we loved that there were kids playing outside the buildings & lots of families in the rental office. Nice neighbors too!
- Pet friendly and reasonable pet rent. I had a cat & was able to fit his litter box in the bathroom, so no litter in the carpet!
Living Spaces:
- Washer/Dryer conveniently placed in a closet in the family room; Good for storage of laundry products. If you close the closet doors when the machine is on, it won't be noisy.
- Ample living space b/w the family, living room & dining area. We had 2 couches, bookshelves, a chair, table & small dresser. It never felt crowded. (What's really great is that we didn't have to pay extra for the den model, but the family room is basically a nice little den.)
- Ample closets! The master had a huge walk-in & the 2nd bedroom had a large wall one; Plus 2 pantries, coat closet (foyer), & 2 linen closets.
- Nice bathrooms! With a cabinet under the sink & a counter, you have plenty of space for toiletries.
- Crazy amount of storage in the kitchen: 2 pantry closets & lots of cabinets. We easily stored the dishes and food of 3 people!
- Lovely kitchen counters & plenty of space for small appliances or food prep, & a deep sink which was great for washing pots & pans that couldn't go in the dishwasher.
- Small & comfortable balcony for relaxing.
I highly recommend this place! I think anyone who wants to feel safe and comfortable in their own home would be very happy here.

I moved to Glen Oaks Apartments about one year ago and I have to tell you, I love my apartment. The space is incredible!! I was really nervous about moving from a house into an apartment but the team at Glen Oaks made my transition worry free. I do not have to search for parking as I have a complimentary reserved parking space and the apartments were originally built as condos, so I can barely hear my neighbors. My apartment features granite countertops and black appliances, which I... appreciate as stainless steel leaves lots of finger prints. Ceramic tile in the kitchens and baths make my place feel like it has some substance. I have a spacious sunken living room and dining room (accommodates dining for 6) ,additionally, my apt came with a standard den which we use as the TV room, like we had at my house. My bedroom easily fits my king bed and I still have room for the dresser, night stands and even a small chair. There are two FULL baths, one in my room and another in the hall and my room has, not only its own walk-in and linen closet, but also an additional linear closet that is about 8 feet long!! Best of all, the utilities are included, which was the primary reason I chose this community. In my home, I had to pay for gas, water, and electric plus the mortgage. Here, I have the same kind of space and the utilities are included. My balcony gives me a little bit of outdoors with lots of privacy and a serene view of a secluded, lightly wooded enclosure, where I watch squirrels and birds scamper through each season. I love my apartment!!! The maintenance is on point, and I have had no pest control issues. I highly recommend this community. You will love it!

As newlyweds, my husband and we're looking for a great place we could call home and we found it in Glen Oaks apartments.
Pros:
The community is quiet and maintained extremely well. Customer service seems to be a high priority and the online maintenance system allows for the staff to quickly attend to any problems that arise. The grounds and facilities are kept clean by friendly courteous workers.
The unit is equipped with a full-sized washer and dryer and all utilities are included. The... apartments are spacious with large floor plans. The bedroom is large and has a very nice walk in closet and two additional closets walking into the room.
The community has easy access to Highways 295, 95, public transportation and a shopping center with grocery store.
Cons:
Residents receive 1 assigned parking spot, which great if your household has 1 vehicle (there is plenty of guest parking, but it's not near several of the units). Cell phone usage is very limited, drop calls constantly, no service in portions of my apartment, dead cells throughout.
Overall, the pros out weigh the cons. I would recommend this community to my friends and family.
