MSM One-Bedroom

I moved into Monroe Street Market approximately six months ago and have been pleased. My unit is quite large for the price and has a surprising amount of storage and cabinet space. Any repairs have been minor and taken care of the same day. I'm also quite happy with the concierge service and general responsiveness of the Bozzuto staff. This was my first experience living in a professional-managed community, and I'm happy with it. My only complaint is the wear and tear on the hallways and elevators. The noise is manageable and is more a factor of the high number of Catholic University students in the building. I was also surprised by the fee required to add my boyfriend to the lease but was able to negotiate it with the property manager. I'll strongly consider staying once my lease is up.

New to DC

Recently moved to the DC area and needed an apartment close to the metro and places to meet and greet young professional. My spouse and I have lived in several apartment communities spanning from NC to TX. and this is by far the worse community I have ever lived in. If attention to detail and service is a necessity then you may want to look elsewhere. The concierge staff is awesome and the only reason why they received one star. The second star is for the amenities which are very nice with the exception of the grills are a fire hazard due to the fact there is grease sitting in the bottom of the grill and the starter is broke(I literally burnt my arm hairs off) The gym sits right below my apartment and people work out all day and night practicing in the art of slamming weights (Yes! I hear you). The leasing staff could care less that I have to be at work before the sun rises and can hear these weights drop all night long (I guess that's what ZZZquil is for). Our apartment flooded due to the contractors inferior building and it still smells like a moldy sock, but apparently there is nothing that can be done. The garage door is constantly broke along with the elevator. So for $2,000 a month in 700 sqft, I guess I'm getting a deal.

Good, but just know this is a college community

First things first, I love my apartment. It's spacious, I have two big closets (1-bdrm),nice sized bed and bathroom, and very nice natural lighting, which is everything I want in an apartment home. The amenities are great, well the only thing I've used is the gym, but the staff host all kinds of events and local restaurants have free food samplings from time to time, which are great. I say this place is affordable and convenient. However, of all the great things, before you move in, do realize this is a college area. Students from nearby Catholic U live here and sometimes you may feel like you're living in a college dormitory.

Rent is a scam

This place is the worst. They tell you that the only utility you have to pay for is electric which is a lie because they add a charge you for water and trash in your rent bill. They also make up rent. I have noticed multiple times now that i am paying 200 dollars more a month than my neighbors with the exact same apartment. Not worth the spacious and fake nice looking apartment.

I love Monroe Street Market. I’ve been living here for two years now and it is a great community. The staff is always super helpful with my needs and very accommodating. Also, I get emails almost immediately when packages are delivered which is very helpful. Great place to live.
